Galactic Legend
The top tier of characters in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, gated by stringent unlock requirements such as 7-star journey ticket characters and an Ultimate ability charged across multiple battles. Galactic Legends define endgame meta and most GAC matches.
Galactic Legends (GLs) launched in late 2020 with Supreme Leader Kylo Ren and Rey, introducing a separate character class designed to anchor squads in Grand Arena, Territory Wars, and high-level Conquest. Each GL has a unique Ultimate ability charged across one or more battles — a powerful single-use cast that frequently decides the engagement.
Unlocking a GL is the longest content gate in SWGOH. You need 6 to 12 specific characters at 7 stars (called "journey ticket" requirements), plus Relic 5 to Relic 7 minimums on several of them. Some GLs also require Zetas pre-applied on specific abilities. Most players take 6 to 18 months to unlock their first GL as a free-to-play account.
Current GL roster includes Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, Jedi Master Kenobi, Jabba the Hutt, Sith Eternal Emperor, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, Rey, Lord Vader, Leia Organa, and others. New GLs release every 3-6 months, often paired with reworks of existing journey characters to refresh the meta.
Priority for new players: pick a GL whose journey aligns with characters you already have or want to farm. Jedi Master Kenobi is often recommended for free-to-play accounts because his squad pieces are mostly farmable from standard nodes. Avoid spreading shards across multiple GL journeys at once — the requirements are too steep, and you'll finish none of them.

Zeta
A rare ability material in SWGOH used to unlock the final tier of high-impact Unique, Leader, and Special abilities. Earn them through the weekly Mod Battles store, Conquest rewards, and select events.
Omicron
A premium ability material introduced in November 2021 that activates mode-specific bonuses on abilities. Omicron effects only apply in the designated mode (Grand Arena, Territory Wars, Territory Battles, Conquest, or Raids).
Relic
The post-Gear 13 character upgrade tier in SWGOH, ranging from Relic 0 (R0) to Relic 9 (R9). Each Relic level dramatically boosts a character's stats — Health, Protection, offensive stats, and resistances — and is required for endgame content.
Datacron
A seasonal stat boost system in SWGOH that grants tag-based bonuses (e.g. +100% Speed to Empire) and special ability effects via a three-tier skill tree. Each Datacron season lasts roughly six months and introduces a fresh pool of buffs.
