Turn Meter

A combat resource in SWGOH that fills from 0% to 100% every turn. The character with the highest Turn Meter (TM) acts next. Most meta-defining abilities manipulate TM through gain, removal, or swap effects.

Turn Meter (TM) is the core resource that decides turn order in every SWGOH battle. Each character's TM fills based on their Speed stat — higher Speed means TM fills faster. When a character reaches 100% TM, they take their turn and reset to 0%. The faster character almost always wins a 1-on-1 fight because they act first.

TM Gain abilities push a character's TM forward (e.g. "Ally gains 50% Turn Meter"). TM Removal cuts an enemy's TM (e.g. "Reduce target enemy's Turn Meter by 100%"). TM Swap is the most powerful variant — taking TM from an enemy and giving it to an ally, effectively a double swing in turn order.

Speed primaries on mods (Arrow slot specifically), Speed secondaries on every mod slot, and Speed-based Datacrons all directly impact how often your characters get to act. A 30 Speed difference between two equally-modded squads can mean the slower team never gets a single turn before being wiped.

Iconic TM manipulators include General Skywalker (massive TM swing on his AoE), Supreme Leader Kylo Ren ("With me, the First Order will be the spark" leader Zeta cycles TM constantly), and Jedi Master Luke Skywalker (denies enemy TM gain with his Unique). Building a squad without considering TM mechanics is the single most common mistake new players make.
